New Zealand
New Zealand is a country in the Pacific Ocean in Oceania, consisting of two main islands, the North Island and the South Island, and about 600 smaller islands. It was one of the last islands to be settled by humans, due to which there is a distinct diversity of animals and plants. Its capital is Wellington, and its most populous city is Auckland. New Zealand is a member of the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Nations, ANZUS, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the ASEAN Plus mechanism, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the Pacific Islands Forum.
