Ribeauvillé

One of the prettiest towns of Alsace. In the mountains above the town, there are three marvellous ruined castles. The town itself is partly surrounded by ancient walls, and is filled with picturesque half-timbered houses, most of which date from the 16^th century. Several of the houses, and also the fountains and many other details, are Historical Monuments.
