Philippines

The Philippines is an archipelago in south east Asia, located in the Western Pacific. It contains more than 7,000 islands. Its capital is Manila, which is well known for its waterfront promenade and Chinatown. The Philippines is a founding member of the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, and the East Asia Summit.

Worth a visit are Old Manila, the San Agustin Church, Fort Santiago, Northern Palawan, Boracay, Pagudpud, the Banaue Rice terraces, Vigan town, the Baroque churches, the Basílica de San Sebastián, Intramuros, Rizal Park, the Blood Compact site, El Nido, Puerto Galera, Botolan, the Tubbataha Reefs National Park, Anilao, and the Resorts World Manila.
