Morocco

Morocco is a country in the Maghreb region in north west Africa, bordering Algeria, Mauritania, Western Sahara and the Spanish North African territories of Ceuta and Melilla. Its capital is Rabat and the largest city is Casablanca.

Morocco is known for its mountains, its large desert, and its long coastline. Worth a visit are the Moroccan National Theatre, the World Sacred Music Festival, the High Atlas, Casablanca, Marrakesh, the Saadian Tombs, the El Badi Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, Jamaa el-Fnaa, Fez, the University of Al-Karaouine, the Bou Inania Madrasa, Meknes, Asilah, Essaouira, Chefchaouen, Jebel Toubkal, the Ourika, Ameln and Amizmiz Valleys, the Rif Mountains, Erg Chebbi, Merzouga, Zagora, Erg Chigaga, M’hamid, the Todra gorge, Tinghir, Aït-Benhaddou, the Saharan oases, and Tangier.
