Iceland

Iceland is a Nordic island located in the North Atlantic, between Europe and North America. Its capital and largest city is Reykjavik, which is the world’s most northerly capital. Iceland is well known for its glaciers, hot springs, lava fields, mountains and glacial rivers. The island is volcanically and geologically active. Worth a visit are the Blue Lagoon, the Gullfoss waterfall, the Geysir and Strokkur geysers, Þingvellir National Park, the Vatnajökull glacier, the Jökulsárlón glacier lake and of course the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights.
