Grenoble

Grenoble is a city in the Alps in south eastern France. Two rivers cross the city, the Drac and the Isère, and it is surrounded by three mountain chains, the Chartreuse, the Vercors and the Belledonne.

Grenoble is well known for its universities, its scientific research centres, and its industrial centre. Worth a visit are the Summum, the MC2, the Grenoble Municipal Theatre, the Bastille Hill, the Parc Paul Mistral, the Art Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Musée Dauphinois, the Musée De L’Ancien Eveché, the Museum of Resistance and Deportation, the Musée Archéologique de Grenoble, the Palace of the Parliament of Dauphiné, the Saint-Louis Church, the Saint-André Church, the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, the Cathedral Notre-Dame, the Saint Roch Cemetery, the Museum of French Revolution, the little train of La Mure, and the Musée Hydrelec.
